TZARO Timber Olive Boat Shoes — Built the Way Boat Shoes Were Meant to Be
The original boat shoe was born in 1932 — crafted with true moccasin construction, thick unlined leather, and a herringbone-grip sole. Ninety years later, most brands have quietly abandoned these principles. TZARO hasn't.
The Timber Series in Olive is a genuine leather boat shoe built on all four classical pillars: true moccasin construction, unlined premium Nubuck leather, leather laces, and a long-life TPR sole with herringbone anti-skid pattern.
True Moccasin Construction — The Rarest Comfort You'll Ever Feel Unlike cemented construction, true moccasin technique wraps the leather like an envelope beneath and around your feet. This allows the shoe to naturally expand and contract with every step, giving you a fit that feels like a second skin. It consumes 40% more leather than standard construction — and the difference in all-day comfort is unmistakable. This is why serious boat shoe buyers look for moc-toe construction above everything else.
Unlined Nubuck Leather — Breathes, Endures, Ages Beautifully The Timber is crafted from premium Nubuck — a thick, velvety-finish leather known for superior breathability and durability. Because it is completely unlined, your feet stay cool and ventilated even through long hours of wear. No synthetic lining means no heat buildup, no trapped moisture, and a shoe that keeps getting better with every wear.
Leather Laces — Classic, Strong, Authentic Round leather laces are a hallmark of a true boat shoe. They hold their knot, resist fraying, and lend the Timber its unmistakably classic silhouette. Adjust them a few times at first — after that, these slip on and off like a premium leather slipper.
Powerful PU Cushioning — All-Day Support, Every Day Inside, a high-grade PU cushion absorbs impact with every step, distributing pressure away from your knees and joints. This is not decorative padding — it is engineered cushioning built to outlast years of daily use and deliver meaningful comfort from the first wear.
Anti-Skid TPR Sole with Herringbone Pattern The Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) sole combines the flexibility of rubber with the long-term durability of engineered plastic. The herringbone grip pattern — the same pattern Paul Sperry borrowed from his dog's paws — gives you reliable traction on deck, cobblestones, or city streets. Performs consistently across hot and cold climates.
Wider Opening — Boat Shoe Convenience The characteristically larger opening means you can slip them on and off with ease. As many wearers put it: looks like a shoe, feels like a slipper.
Wear them without socks for the classic boat shoe look, or pair with low no-show socks for all-day wear. Available in UK sizes 6–12.

Boat Shoe Made with Classical Principles
These boat shoes follow all the classical principles of boat shoe. They come with antiskid sole, have wider opening and come in MOCTOE construction. Thick unlined genuine leather gives it long life and also great ventilation
Bigger opening
The bigger opening is classical trait of boat shoes, it makes getting in and out of the shoe lot easier. Some people describe boat shoes as “looks like a shoe but is as convenient as a slipper”.</p>
True Moccasin Construction
The leather wraps like an envelope below the feet; this construction technique gives the shoes an amazing ability to expand and contract with every step you take in these which adds to its comfort. This technique is somewhat rarely used as it consumes more leather than usual cemented construction. It’s an amazing experience to use shoes made with MOCTOE technique.
Anti-Skid Long Life TR Sole
These boat shoes are made with TR sole with herringbone pattern which gives them greater grip in outdoor conditions. TR sole also gives a stable performance across temperature zones [works well in Colder as well as Hot Geographies]. This sole will last well over the years [even if you use them daily].

What is a Boat Shoe?
Boat Shoe is a particular kind of moccasin which has a wider opening giving it an open shoe feel to it. This is usually made with softer and thicker leather and is usually unlined. The shoes are made with the True-Moccasin construction technique.
What is True-Moccasin construction Technique?
True Moccasin construction refers to a technique where the leather swings like an envelope all around the feet. Boat shoes have a snug fit or they fit like socks which means that the leather needs to expand when you walk (the muscles expand when the pressure is on the big toe area). Only true moccasin construction allows for this expansion. This technique consumes 40% more leather but the comfort is unmatchable.
Fashion Tip
Wear these shoes without socks and if you have to wear them with socks then use half socks which are not visible from outside.
What is TPR material?
Thermoplastic Rubber is a special grade material that has qualities of both rubber (in terms of abrasion flexibility) and long life of Special Grade Plastic like PU or EVA. Soles made of this material have a longer life in both cold hot climates.
What's the difference between Faux Leather Shoes and Genuine Leather Shoes?
Faux Leather shoes do not breathe and feet will become hot from inside. Well-made genuine leather shoes (with genuine leather lining) will keep your feet cool even after 10 hours of usage in 40 degree Celsius zones. Genuine leather has a 50 times longer life than Faux Leather Shoes.
