Nathan Clark of Clarks family was part of British Army during world war-2. He was posted in Burma where he noticed a pair of boots which was extremely popular in the ARMY. He figured out that these were made by Egyptian Cobblers and were picked up by Soldiers posted in EGYPT during World War II. These were made of crepe soles which had been paired with sand color suede leather. These boots were light weighed, gave strong grip with the needed ankle support.
