Shoe usage by Army personnel is very different as compared to normal users. They use the shoe with extra load [all the combat gear, ammunition, their ration that can go up to 30 Kilos]. They run in all kinds of terrains – which at times can be rocky and muddy.

Hulk project was about 18 months of hard work

Its include iterations to deliver the final version, which is the next generation of shoes for Armed Personnel.

  • The sole uses thick layer of Phylon mid-sole which strengthens its shock absorbing capabilities
  • The outsole is made of rubber which gives it powerful grip and also gives it extra life
  • The boots are made with water repellant German fabric combined with Genuine Leather giving it extra years of life
  • The tapered memory foam cushioning has years of life and is designed to reduce stress on knees and ankle
  • The shoe weighs about 1.2Kgs which is 75% lighter than official DMS boots
  •  The upper is stitched to the sole both in front and at the back to add to its life
  • The shoe lining is a specially made woven lining which is designed to accelerate the ventilation
  •  The insole is made of harness leather which means it will survive years of usage.

Hulk comes in multiple versions

it starts with Canvas Centric Jungle boots and continues till Apache which is a tactical military boot made of leather.

The HULK series is still evolving where constant upgrades are part of the process as more usage data comes out. A new HULK is being tested which can handle the impact of Landmine Blast.
