A silhouette that has been right since 1945. Still is.
The Desert boot profile — low ankle, three eyelets, clean toe, crepe sole — became one of the most copied silhouettes in footwear after World War 2. It was practical, it was lightweight, and it worked on every terrain soldiers encountered. The Dune takes that same blueprint and builds it in brown nubuck leather with a crepe finish TR sole. No nostalgia for its own sake — just a shape that has never stopped being the right answer for a city boot that can handle more.
The crepe finish TR sole — grip, comfort, and character
Crepe is a naturally textured rubber compound with a distinctive pale, slightly rough surface that has been used in quality footwear for over a century. On the Dune, the sole uses a crepe finish on TR (Thermoplastic Rubber) — combining the warm, natural aesthetic of crepe with the durability and grip performance of TR. The result is a sole that grips well on city streets and off-road ground, cushions the foot on long walks, and develops a warm sand-coloured tone that complements the brown nubuck upper naturally. It is also notably quiet underfoot — crepe soles do not squeak or slap the way harder rubber can.
Brown nubuck — the right leather for this silhouette
Nubuck is full-grain leather buffed lightly on the surface for a soft, matte velvety finish. In warm brown, it is the classic pairing for the jungle boot profile — earthy, textured, and honest-looking. Nubuck softens and conforms to the foot over time, developing a quiet patina that makes each pair distinctly its own. The naked leather lining inside keeps the boot breathable and sweat-friendly through long daily wear.
Memory foam and latex cushioning — comfort from the first step
Inside the Dune, a thin layer of latex sits beneath the memory foam footbed. The latex adds a responsive spring that pure memory foam alone lacks — so the boot cushions on impact and rebounds quickly, reducing foot fatigue on long days of walking. No break-in period needed.
Three-eyelet profile — clean, classic, deliberate
Three eyelets. No more, no less. The original jungle boot used this lacing pattern for speed and simplicity — on and off quickly, secure fit without fuss. On the Dune, it also keeps the upper profile clean and uncluttered, letting the nubuck surface and crepe sole carry the design without visual noise. This is a boot that has been edited down to exactly what it needs to be.
Built for the city. Handles more.
Cemented construction keeps the Dune light and flexible. The clean toe profile works under slim denim and chinos without effort. The crepe TR sole grips well enough for wet pavements, light trails, and uneven outdoor ground. This is the boot that does not ask you to choose between looking good in the city and being prepared for wherever the day takes you.
Style note
Brown nubuck with a sand crepe sole pairs with almost everything in a casual wardrobe — khaki, olive, navy, grey, and denim in any wash. The warm brown-and-sand palette is especially strong with earthy, natural tones. This is a boot that wears like it has always been part of the wardrobe — familiar on day one, better every day after.
A silhouette proven over decades. A sole built to last years. A boot you will not stop reaching for.

What are desert boots?
Desert boots also known as Chukka boots are ankle high leather boots. These are essentially lace up boots with two/three eyelets. These were first introduced by Clarks and became very popular with soldiers in world war II.
What is special about lining?
These shoes have been lined with naked leather. This family has very superior ability to absorb the sweat which travels to the upper surface of the shoe and dries up keeping your feet cool from inside.
What is cemented construction technique?
Leather is tucked on the edges of lasts with tags/nails before it is attached to the sole.
What is TPR material?
Thermoplastic Rubber is a special grade material which has qualities of both rubber (in terms of abrasion flexibility) and long life of Special Grade Plastic like PU or EVA. Soles made of this material have a longer life in both cold hot climates.
What's the difference between Faux Leather Shoes and Genuine Leather Shoes?
Faux Leather shoes do not breathe and feet will become hot from inside. Well-made genuine leather shoes (with genuine leather lining) will keep your feet cool even after 10 hours of usage in 40 degree Celsius zones. Genuine leather has 50 times longer life than Faux Leather Shoes.
