The drum-milling process that creates the grain also tightens the fibre structure of the hide, making it inherently more resistant to scuffs, surface wear, and the kind of daily punishment that uniform footwear absorbs.

British Tan NDM holds its colour under continuous outdoor exposure better than smooth or corrected grain leathers. It doesn't show dust and surface marks the way smooth leather does. It stays presentable through a full shift without requiring constant attention.
